There was a small surprise in Gevgelija where ninth rankedMadzari (2-4) defeated 6th ranked Kozuv (3-3) 84-79 on Sunday. Madzari outrebounded Kozuv 39-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Javon Greene (193-1999, college: S.Florida) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Kristian Lafayette chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Madzari players scored in double figures. Madzari's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard DQ Nicholas (185-2000, college: Gardner-Webb) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import Rodney Purvis (193-1994, college: UConn, agency: JCK Sports Group) added 24 points respectively. Madzari moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Feniks 2010 and Tikvesh. Loser Kozuv keeps the sixth position with three games lost.
